Making a claim in the administrations

We will write to all suppliers with a sum owed to them per the Companies’ records. The letter will contain details of the Grant Thornton UL LLP Insolvency Act Portal (the Portal) and your unique log-in details.  The Portal will be used to make information available to creditors and to receive information from creditors, as set out in these communications.

We will ask you to send an up-to-date statement of your account addressed to either Small World Financial Services Group Limited (In Administration) or LCC Trans-Sending Limited (In Special Administration), as applicable, c/o Grant Thronton UK LLP, 11th Floor, Landmark St Peter’s Square, 1 Oxford Street, Manchester M1 4PB, or log onto the Portal (using your log in details which will be provided to you via letter) to submit your statement electronically and update your details in order that your claim against the relevant company (or companies) can be registered.

Future notifications and reports

It is Grant Thornton’s policy to upload notifications and reports to creditors onto the Portal for viewing and downloading. Under 1.50 of the Insolvency (England and Wales) Rules 2016, all future notifications and reports will be uploaded to the Portal only and you will not receive a physical copy in the post.

This is with the exception of the following documents for which hard copies will still be issued in the post:

  • a document for which personal delivery is required;
  • a document which is not delivered generally.

Log in details to the Portal will be provided to you via letter and should be kept in a safe place to enable you to continue to view documents as the case progresses. The Administrators will upload a progress report within one month of the end of each six-month period or sooner if all matters are concluded and the cases are brought to a close within a reporting period. If you wish to be notified when an upload takes place, you can adjust your personal settings for this once you have logged into the Portal.

Please note that creditors may at any time request a hard copy of any or all of the following:

  • all documents currently available for viewing on the website;
  • all future documents which may be made available there.

Any creditor that wishes to receive a hard copy free of charge, should send a request detailing the documents you would like to obtain to SmallWorldUK@uk.gt.com or by writing to Grant Thornton UK LLP, 11th Floor, Landmark St Peter's Square, 1 Oxford St, Manchester, M1 4PB.
