What is the Statement of Proposals?
The Statement of Proposals is a report which includes, amongst other information:
- An overview of the Company and the circumstances leading up to the special administration;
- A summary of the asset and liabilities of the Company, including information relation to the directors’ statement of affairs;
- Details of the Joint Special Administrators’ Proposals for achieving the objectives of the special administration; and
- Progress to date and future conduct of the special administration.
The Statement of Proposals have been made available to all know creditors and customers of the Company on 7 August 2024.
How can I get a copy of the Statement of Proposals
A copy of the Statement of Proposals has been uploaded to the Grant Thornton Insolvency Act Portal (the ‘Portal’).
Alternatively, you can send a request for a copy of the Statement of Proposals to smallworlduk@uk.gt.com or by post to c/o Grant Thornton UK LLP, 11th Floor, Landmark, St Peter's Square, 1 Oxford St, Manchester, M1 4PB.
What is the Grant Thornton Insolvency Act Portal (the ‘Portal’)?
The Portal is a secure online platform used to make information available to creditors and customers throughout the special administration. Creditors and customers can also use the Portal to update contact information.
Log in details to the Portal have previously been provided to all known creditors and customers. If you have not received log in details or have misplaced this information, please send an email to smallworlduk@uk.gt.com.
What is the initial meeting of creditors and customers?
The Joint Special Administrators of LCC Trans-Sending Limited (In Special Administration) must hold an initial meeting of creditors and customers within 10 weeks of the Company entering special administration, giving a minimum of 14 days’ notice to creditors and customers.
The meeting will provide creditors and customers with an opportunity to hear from the Joint Special Administrators regarding the actions taken during the special administration to date and the intended actions moving forward.
There will be an opportunity for creditors and customers to ask questions and they will be asked to vote on certain resolutions, including approving the Joint Special Administrators Statement of Proposals and forming a creditors’ committee.
Please note, the initial meeting is only applicable to creditors and customers of LCC Trans-Sending Limited (In Special Administration).
What is a creditors’ committee?
A creditors’ committee is a group of between three and five creditors and customers who represent the Company’s creditors and customers as a whole throughout the special administration, supervising the conduct and assisting the Joint Special Administrators in carrying out their duties.

How do I attend the initial meeting of creditors and customers?
Customers and creditors of LCC Trans-Sending Limited (In Special Administration) will be able to attend the meeting in person and virtually.
Creditors and customers wishing to attend virtually should refer to the notice provided on 7 August 2024 which includes all details needed to access the virtual meeting and vote on the proposed resolutions.
Creditors and customers wishing to attend in person can choose from two locations:
- London: Holiday Inn London, Bloomsbury Coram Street, London, WC1N 1H
- Birmingham: The Priory Rooms Meeting at Conference Centre, 40 Bull Street, Birmingham, B4 6AF
Due to capacity constraints at the meeting venues, creditors and customers are recommended to attend virtually, where possible.
If you intend on attending the meeting in person, please let us know by no later than 12:00pm on 22 August 2024, being the business day before the meeting date, by emailing smallworlduk@uk.gt.com.
Do I need to attend the initial meeting of creditors and customers?
Attendance at the meeting of LCC Trans-Sending Limited (In Special Administration) is optional.
What do I need to do if I intend on attending the meeting either in person or virtually?
Creditors and customers of LCC Trans-Sending Limited (In Special Administration) wishing to vote at the initial meeting will need to submit a Customer Claim Form (Customers) or Proof of Debt Form (Creditors) by no later than 12:00pm on 22 August 2024 in order for their vote to be valid.
If you intend to appoint a proxy to appear on your behalf at the initial meeting, you must complete and return a Proxy Form to us by no later than 12:00pm on 22 August 2024. Creditors and customers intending to vote by proxy in advance of the meeting should ensure they indicate in their completed proxy form how they wish to vote on each of the resolutions set out in the formal notice.
All completed Customer Claim Forms, Proof of Debt Forms and Proxy Forms can be submitted by either:
- Email to smallworlduk@uk.gt.com; or
- Post to LCC Trans-Sending Limited (In Special Administration), C/O Grant Thornton UK LLP, 11th Floor, Landmark, St Peter's Square, 1 Oxford St, Manchester, M1 4PB.

What is a Customer Claim Form / Proof of Debt Form?
A Customer Claim Form / Proof of Debt Form is a document on which a customer or creditor can submit details of its claim in the estate. It is required in order to record your claim, as well as vote at meeting(s) of creditors and customers.
What is a Proxy Form?
A Proxy Form is a document which a customer or creditor may complete in order to authorise another person to appear and vote at the initial meeting on their behalf. The document enables a customers or creditors to ensure that their interests are represented, and their votes are cast, even if they are unable to be present at the meeting.
